Restaurant Maven is known for its unique setting in Nikolaj Kirke and Nordic bistro cuisine, where one can enjoy classic meals in a cozy and informal atmosphere in the heart of Copenhagen.

‘Maven’ is the nickname Nikolaj Plads had back in the 19th century when the city’s butcher stalls were located here. Therefore, the square was colloquially called ‘Maven’

The owners behind it are Thomas Gaarde and Peter Bille Krogh, who operate the ‘Raadet’ group, consisting of Restaurant Maven, Krogs Fiskerestaurant, and Cholon.
